April
4th - "Never doubt that a small group of
thoughtful committed citizens can change the world.
Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
Margaret Mead
We
sat down. Close by was an NBC news van. If people were
really ready for it, our event is something that could
catalyze massive world change. We could have done a
lot more promotion than we did. We told our friends,
printed out some fliers, informed many groups with similar
interests. But the overall response has been pretty
much silence. Sure, we could have kept working to promote
it, but with our focus on promotion, it would have been
taken off the essence - inner peace. Better to fail
at creating a mass movement than to succeed at creating
one that is off its mark.
This
sit is an experiment - a group coming together in a
public space on a legitimate journey toward inner peace.
It's something a little unusual. You might even say
newsworthy. But we are not celebrities, we are not even
an organization, we're not interested in pushing our
agenda, fundraising, or even seeking attention. We are
simply offering a simple and true solution to a world
out of balance.
Had
we started breaking things, NBC probably would have
turned their cameras on us. But a bold search for true
peace passes quietly under the radars. If getting attention
means breaking things, then forget it. Our work is taking
place in other dimensions.
Those
of us who come, are here only for the purest of intentions
and because of this, our circle is an electrifying space
- a potent portal for inner transformation. The world
may not be paying any attention, but this small group
of thoughtful committed citizens is on a roll.
